Vertical Integration / Global Systems

Metalworking Products is one of the world's leading producers of tungsten-based products. It is also one of the few companies in the industry that is truly integrated from raw material through high value-added finished products.

Metalworking Products is comprised of six targeted business units, Alldyne Powder Technologies, Firth Sterling and Firth MPD, Tungsten Products, Stellram, and Landis Threading Systems. This vertical integration along with a focus on lean manufacturing, continuous process, quality and delivery improvement programs, has substantially improved Metalworking Products' ability to serve its customers in a highly competitive global market.

Shared services - accounting, human resources, information systems, and technology - are centralized at Metalworking Products' headquarters in Nashville, Tennessee. The company's Research and Development group is structured to work closely with each business unit to develop new products and materials. By centralizing these activities, we are able to be more market responsive while controlling costs.

Metalworking Products is a global company which generates 38% of revenues outside the United States. The company employs 1,300 people in 12 countries with sales representation in over 40 countries.

The major markets served are oil/gas drilling, automotive, aerospace, industrial machinery and equipment.
